Christine Sit x Green Monday. The Earth day campaign / Art & Cluture
Invited by Green Monday, I join this The Earth Day campaign as an illustrator to share my GO GREEN journey and vision through visual.
My ‘Go Green’ journey.
I quit meat and poultry since 2013 when I begin to practice yoga, for the purpose of raising the awareness of environmental protection. When options available, Vegan diet is always my first choice.
Recent years, I found vegetarian option is more common, even in the local restaurant in the wet market nearby my home. I’m happy with that coz i have more choices when I eating outside. Also it means more and more of us aware what we put into our mouth and how it changes our world. When the demand increase, the supply follow.
‘Go green’ shouldn’t have a boundary between classes, races and species.. And It doesn’t mean to sacrifice the enjoyment of food. If we see plante based diet in a life-long term, it should be rich in nutrition to enhance our general wellbeing. It should be taste good, reasonable in price and easy to reach in order to support a more substantial lifestyle and to encourage more of us give it a try.
About my work
I call this illustration ‘Plant Plant-Based Food’. I immerse a few of my favorite modern and popular plant based food into the plant. It looks unreal but harmony. Grateful to the creativity and technology allow us to make a great diversity of plant based products in a form, taste and quality that we had never imagined. At the end of the day, we basically can plant everything we need to eat for a healthy life.
